The terms and conditions of rental of our chauffeur-driven vehicles are specific.
Legal information
The Corse VTC company provides a transport service for people and goods and makes chauffeur-driven vehicles available to its customers. It is registered as a chauffeur-driven car operator under number EVTC02A200004 and is subject to the provisions of articles L 231- 1 to L231-4 of the French Tourism Code and decree no. 85-891 of August 16, 1985. Any reservation made by telephone, via our website, e-mail, WhatsApp messaging service, Facebook or Instagram social networks, implies unreserved acceptance of all our CGV - general terms and conditions of sale.

PREAMBLE
Transporting people for hire or reward is a regulated activity. Only authorized vehicles, Capacitaire, VTC and Taxis, can provide this service. Any order placed implies acceptance of the general sales conditions (GSC) below. The Corse VTC company undertakes to respect them in their entirety and to do everything in its power to guarantee an irreproachable service to its customers.
CGV & VTC RATES
Our prices are updated every year and are established according to a horokilometric scale, the service, the number of passengers and luggage or the price of fuel in Corsica. Any quotation previously drawn up and in your possession will be valid until the expiry date indicated on it. Rates apply to direct, non-stop travel from the pick-up point to the point of arrival. Fares include VAT (2.10%) except for hire services (VAT 20%) and are always quoted in euros. Night hours (7pm to 7am) are subject to a surcharge of between 25% and 50%, depending on the geographical area of the service.
Our rates include pick-up on arrival or assistance on departure (port & airport), transportation of the customer(s), the vehicle in perfect working order, the fixed kilometer rate for transportation, 20 kg of luggage per passenger, fuel, the driver, professional insurance for the persons transported, options reserved by the customer, 24/7 telephone assistance in French or English depending on the advisor available. Rates include a 20-minute wait. Beyond this time, waiting charges are €1 per minute, including VAT, and must be paid to the driver. Except in special cases where the customer has given prior notice of the possible wait or delay.
Our rates do not include any additional charges such as parking fees, entrance fees for attractions, leisure activities, museums, paying sites, etc., or accommodation or meal expenses for the driver(s) not initially included in the service.
RESERVATION
All services must be booked by contacting Corse VTC by telephone, e-mail, Whats'App messaging service, Facebook or Instagram social networks or, more easily, directly on the website or mobile application via the online store, or via our contact form. Reservations must be made no earlier than 180 days and no later than 15 minutes before the start of the service in question, and will only be effective if the driver is able to honour the reservation according to his geographical location. Reservations must be made by the customer or by a duly authorized representative.
All reservations must include the following information
- company name or corporate name
- customer's name and telephone number
- date, time and place of customer pick-up.
Signing this document implies unreserved acceptance of the general terms and conditions of sale. For all bookings, a minimum deposit of 20% of the total cost of the service will be required. The balance of the payment will be made either 48 hours maximum before the date of service, or on the day of service with the prior agreement of Corse VTC.
Eshop booking: All bookings made via the online store must be paid for in advance. Each customer who has made a reservation will receive a confirmation email containing the order summary. If we are unable to provide the service, the customer will receive a full refund within 72 working hours.
BOOKING FROM AN AIRPORT OR TRAIN STATION
When booking, the customer must specify the airport/station, the date of the trip, the number of passengers, the expected time of landing and the flight number or origin. Corse VTC cannot be held responsible for any incorrect information provided by the customer (incomplete flight number, date error), nor for any incorrect information concerning the reference flight for the trip, provided by the Information Service of the airport concerned.
RESERVATION OF A PROVISION SERVICE
Any hour of VTC hire commenced will be invoiced in full. Complaints concerning a service or an error in invoicing must be made within 8 days of the date of the service. After this deadline, all claims will be considered null and void.
TRANSFER CANCELLATION
In the event of cancellation by the customer:
All cancellations must reach us at least 48 hours before the date of the service. It is your duty to inform Corse VTC of any problems as soon as possible.
- More than 48 hours before the date of the service, the deposit paid, as a fixed and irreducible indemnity, will be reimbursed in full, whatever the reason for cancellation.
- Less than 48 hours before the date of the service, the deposit paid, as a fixed and irreducible indemnity, will not be reimbursed under any circumstances, whatever the reason for cancellation.
- Less than 24 hours before the date of the service, 50% of the total amount of the service booked will be due.
- Less than 12 hours before the date of the service and last-minute cancellation, 100% of the total amount of the service booked will be due.
In the event of withdrawal on the part of Corse VTC :
- The deposit is refunded in full.
CANCELLATION OF SERVICE PROVISION
In the event of cancellation by the customer:
All cancellations must reach us at least 5 DAYS before the date of the service. It is your duty to inform Corse VTC of any problems as soon as possible.
- More than 5 DAYS before the date of the service. If a deposit has been paid, as a fixed and irreducible indemnity, it will be reimbursed in full, whatever the reason for cancellation.
- Less than 5 DAYS before the date of the service, if a deposit has been paid, it will not be reimbursed under any circumstances, whatever the reason for cancellation.
- Less than 5 DAYS before the date of the service, 50% of the total amount of the service booked will be due.
- Less than 3 DAYS before the date of the service and last-minute cancellations, 100% of the total amount of the service booked will be due.
In the event of cancellation by Corse VTC :
- The deposit, if any, is refunded in full.
VEHICLES
In the event that Corse VTC is unable to provide the vehicle specified in the contract, the deposit will be refunded in full, unless both parties agree to provide another vehicle. In the event of non-attendance at the first appointment with the vehicle, the deposit will be refunded in full without recourse or compensation for any damage caused.
In the event of a breakdown during the service rendering the vehicle unavailable, and if the two parties do not agree on the provision of another vehicle, the amount of the service will be calculated pro rata to the time spent, without recourse or compensation for the damage caused.
Unless otherwise specified, vehicles have a capacity:
- for a standard sedan or SUV: 3 to 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children maximum with 4 items of luggage
- for a Large SUV: 4 adults and 2 children maximum with 4 items of luggage
- for a Minivan: from 4 to 8 adults max. with 5/8 pieces of luggage 20 kgs max.
For events & weddings, all exterior decorations on the vehicle, other than those initially stipulated in the contract, are subject to our agreement.
IMAGE RIGHTS
Corse VTC reserves the exclusive right to use all photographs taken during services for promotional purposes.
RESPONSIBILITY
Any damage caused by the customer to the interior or exterior of the vehicle will be charged to the customer (door opening), unless it can be shown to have been caused by a third party. It is strictly forbidden to smoke, drink or eat on board the vehicle. Passengers must refrain from soiling or damaging the equipment. Passengers will be billed for any damage to the vehicle other than normal wear and tear. Seatbelts must be worn in both the front and rear seats, and customers who fail to do so will be fined at their own expense. Under no circumstances may the customer demand that the driver exceed the authorized speed limit or ask him to commit traffic violations. The driver must respect and ensure respect for the laws in force.
Corse VTC reserves the right to interrupt the service in progress if the customer commits an offence such as :
- use of narcotics
- use of electronic cigarettes or cigarettes
- consumption of alcohol
- inappropriate language towards the driver or a person inside or outside the vehicle
- endangering the safety of the driver or others.
Under no circumstances will this interruption entitle the customer to a refund.
The customer must be present at the scheduled time and place. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the order 30 minutes after the scheduled time, without refund. Any dispute will be settled by the Commercial Court of Ajaccio.
COVID 19
The organization of road passenger transport activities requires major adaptations to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. To reduce the risk of contamination and ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers, it is recommended to wear a surgical or FFP2 mask in the front and back of the vehicle in the event of flu-like symptoms. Customers are asked not to touch the vehicle handles and to let the driver open or close the doors. Hydro-alcoholic gel available on board.
SCHEDULE, DURATION AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
Schedules are based on normal traffic and transport conditions. The customer is aware that unforeseen events may occur. The definition of a safety margin will make it possible to absorb these hazards, knowing that if it is exceeded, it risks upsetting the organization of the trip, which must always guarantee compliance with regulations on driving times and driver rest periods.
Vehicles are rented for a defined service, so unless there are exceptional circumstances, we will not make any journey other than that agreed. The choice of itinerary, unless otherwise requested by the customer, must be left to the carrier and will always be based on the shortest or fastest route. It is the carrier's responsibility to inform the customer before the start of the service. Turnaround times are given as an indication and are approximate unless Corse VTC gives a formal undertaking to the contrary.
The service begins on the day, at the time and from the location agreed between the customer and Corse VTC and ends once the destination has been reached.
CHANGES DURING SERVICE
Any modification requested by the customer during the course of the service will necessarily entail a supplement if, and only if, the distance or time initially planned for the service is extended. Corse VTC reserves the right to refuse any itinerary modifications if this would compromise other customers or services already booked at the time of transport.
REGULATIONS
Our services are payable in advance at the time of booking, or upon pick-up on the day of service by prior arrangement, except for "pro" customers. For companies and local authorities who have specified their invoicing details at the time of booking, payment will be made by bank transfer within 30 days of the invoice date.
Payment by cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard) or Paypal is accepted on the day of service, where possible. Advance payment is possible by bank transfer or cheque up to 72 hours before the start of the service.
An invoice is required for all payments of €25 or more, and below this amount on request only. In the event of late payment, interest will be charged at 1.5 times the legal interest rate, ipso jure and without prior notice.
CLAUSES LIMITING LIABILITY
Corse VTC cannot be held responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond its control (blocked roads, detour, traffic jams, weather conditions, demonstrations, immobilization of the vehicle for various reasons, strikes, exceptional closures of certain sites, etc.), or in other cases of force majeure.
Luggage or any other object belonging to the customer is under the customer's sole responsibility. Corse VTC will not be held responsible for the theft, loss or misplacement of any object whatsoever left in the vehicle after the service has been completed, and therefore accepts no liability whatsoever. It goes without saying that any object left in the vehicle will be returned to you as soon as possible.
Corse VTC recognizes the obligation to take the necessary measures to preserve the safety of the vehicle's occupants and reserves the right to refuse any person who would compromise the safety and good preservation of the vehicle.
Corse VTC cannot be held responsible for any accident occurring while boarding or alighting from the vehicle.
The transport of animals (except guide dogs) is normally forbidden unless the Corse VTC company has been informed in advance and has approved the authorization. No animals will be accepted in our vehicles except in a cage provided for this purpose. Transport box rental is available on request and according to the geographical area of the service.
INSURANCE
Corse VTC's liability is limited to the clauses of its insurance contract, its professional insurance policy "subscribed for the transport of passengers for hire or reward", which provides unlimited cover for passengers transported for hire or reward on board the vehicle in the event of an accident involving personal injury, in accordance with current French regulations: article L3120.4 of the transport code and in application of the decree of April 18, 1966 relating to the conditions for exercising the profession of Véhicule de Transport avec Chauffeur (VTC) or "capacitaire".
PERSONAL DATA
The Corse VTC company is committed to respecting the privacy of its customers, and the information collected from them will under no circumstances be passed on to third parties.
SECURITY
The vehicle and driver will be provided with all the documents required for the smooth running of the service. The number of pieces of luggage is limited to the loading capacity of the vehicle, however each piece of luggage may not exceed a maximum of 20 kilos per person transported, and must not present any risk of damage to the vehicle. Failure to comply with these conditions will result in an additional charge.
DISPUTES
Any claim will only be accepted within 48 hours of the performance of the service. Once this time limit has been exceeded, only the Ajaccio Commercial Court will have jurisdiction.
