Taking the road to Bastelica, you'll discover the large Carnevale waterfall and its freshwater pool (very quick and easy walk without a guide). Then reach the well-preserved Genoese bridge in the Zipitolli forest (very quick and easy walk without a guide). Great photo opportunities in the heart of the undergrowth.
Bastelica & the Prunelli excursion
Then, visit the village of Bastelica, with its statues erected to the glory of the famous Sampiero Corsu and its monuments. Discover the history of the village, the traces of the past on the houses, the wash-house in the center of the village, the Volta irrigation canal leading to the Ortola waterfalls, the pig farms with their Nustrale pigs...
A trip to the Prunelli gorges
The tour continues with entry into the Prunelli Gorges. An invitation to travel! A wild, natural landscape where it's not unusual to come across a few goats roaming freely. Stop off at the Scalleda belvedere, which offers a remarkable view of the artificial lake and the village of Tolla. Afterwards, you can relax in the sun on the shores of the Tolla lake or enjoy a gourmet break at one of the two paillotes. Water sports (paddle, pedalo, kayak) are available on the lake (max. 30 minutes). On the way back, pass through Bocca di Mercuju, Ocana and Bastelicaccia.
