FRASSU TOWER
Discover the hike of the Frasso tower in Porticcio, Corsica. The ruins of an ancient defence tower in the hamlet of Frasso. Go for a pleasant walk through the woods. A path with an almost constant gradient that leads to a sublime fortified house and the remains of a stone bread oven. The path follows the "Mare à Mare" for a superb panorama of the Gulf of Ajaccio, the Sanguinaires islands, the Capitello tower, the Viva beach and the Isolella peninsula.

Starting point of the walk: Porticcio cemetery
To get there, head towards the Collège de Porticcio. At the roundabout, turn off towards the "Terra Bella" residence, then drive up to the cemetery. Park in the car park.
The walking route
Take the "Mare à Mare" path, marked in orange. The path is almost always steep in the undergrowth and crosses the Frassu stream, passing near a stone cottage. Continue on the path and turn right at the large cairn. Then, when you reach the crossroads, take the slope that goes to the left, continue for about 500m to join a track. Turn right at the goose paste, go 200m and follow the cairns (2 * on the right) to reach the rocky mass on which the ruins of the tower rest.
