CAPU NERU TOWER
Discover the hike from the tower of Capu Neru to Coti Chiavari! Capu Neru is the neighbour of the tower of Capo Di Muro. A lesser known but inaccessible Genoese sentinel tower. Set off on an easy route that ends with a beautiful view of the island's coastline.
The tower of Capu Neru in Coti Chiavari, Corsica
Starting point of the hike: Hamlet of Cala di Gigliu. Coti Chiavari
To get there, from Ajaccio, take the Acqua Doria direction and continue towards Propriano/ Porto Pollo/ Serra di ferro. Go as far as the hamlet of Cala di Gigliu, in the commune of Coti Chiavari. Follow the tarmac road until it becomes a dirt track. Park at this point. The hike starts from here.
The Capu Neru tower hiking trail
Follow the track for a few minutes until you reach the top of the big climb, then turn right. A cairn indicates the entrance to a narrow path, barely visible. Count on one kilometre to reach the Genoese tower. An inaccessible and unrestored tower with a beautiful view of the Capo Di Muro peninsula. The return journey takes the same route as the first.
